A clean, covered table sets the tone for your booth and hides storage boxes underneath.
A floor-length tablecloth that fits your table size, plus a power strip with a long-enough cord to reach the nearest outlet.
Dark colors hide stains between shows. Measure your table before ordering so the cloth actually touches the floor.
Bringing a cloth that's too short, forgetting an extension cord, or leaving clips/weights at home for breezy load-in doors.
Vertical displays make your booth visible from across the aisle and let more inventory breathe on a small table.
Sturdy risers, easels, wire cubes, or grid walls that fold flat for travel and don't wobble when bumped.
Start with two or three heights and one focal-point display. You can always add more after your first show.
Overpacking the table so nothing stands out, or using flimsy stands that tip over every time someone browses.
Clear signs answer common questions before customers even ask, which speeds up sales and reduces awkward pauses.
Large, readable price signs, a banner with your business name, and category signs like "$5" or "NEW".
Test readability from six feet away. If you have to squint, make it bigger. Laminate anything you'll reuse show after show.
Handwritten signs on scrap paper, no visible business name, or prices that only appear on the back of each item.
Most attendees expect to tap or swipe a card. Cash-only booths often lose sales they never realize they missed.
A mobile card reader you already know how to use, a small cash box with change, and a backup way to get online.
Set up and test your reader at home before the show. Bring a charged phone and a battery pack — not just a wall charger.
Discovering your reader needs an update on show morning, or running out of small bills for cash change by lunchtime.
Long show days on a hard floor are brutal. Small comfort items keep you sharp and friendly all weekend.
Supportive shoes, a padded floor mat, a refillable water bottle, snacks, and any personal medication you need.
Break in shoes before the show, not during. Pack snacks that won't melt or crumble across your inventory.
Skipping meals, standing all day with no mat, or relying on the venue for water and ending up dehydrated by hour three.
