Preparing for Move-In

Move-in day goes much smoother when you have a plan before you arrive. This guide will help vendors think through arrival, unloading, booth setup, and the little details that make setup faster and less stressful.

Before You Leave Home

  • Pack your products in clearly labeled boxes or totes.
  • Keep your most important setup items easy to reach.
  • Bring a copy of your booth information if available.
  • Charge your phone, card reader, and portable battery.
  • Review official C2PC move-in instructions before leaving.

Arrival Planning

  • Give yourself more time than you think you need.
  • Plan for traffic, weather, and unloading delays.
  • Know where you are supposed to enter or unload.
  • Have your vendor name ready when checking in.
  • Be patient with staff, volunteers, and other vendors.

Unloading Tips

  • Use carts or hand trucks when possible.
  • Keep aisles and loading areas clear.
  • Move your vehicle after unloading if directed.
  • Do not block entrances, exits, or other vendors.
  • Work efficiently so everyone has room to unload.

Booth Setup Order

  • Place tables and large fixtures first.
  • Add table covers and backdrops.
  • Set up shelving and displays.
  • Arrange merchandise.
  • Add signs and price tags.
  • Test payment equipment before the show opens.
